When we acknowledge that God is in the details of all we do, most recently in AWE, we must also acknowledge and share our values. Values cannot be kept secret. They are a part of who we are, and a value to begin with is our physical home, outside of our bodies, and that is the Earth. The Pledge of Allegiance to the Earth says it all…this is a value that I am committed to. Wrapped in universal love and compassion for all, here on Earth is where we dwell…this is all the environment we need to pledge allegiance to and in each of our own small ways we are appreciating and loving the Universe, the Earth.
What is the color of ENERGY? Depends. It really does. For me, it is green. For you? Think about the spiritual nature of your color. Green for me reflects the energy of everything: the Earth, growing plants, crystal clear water, and more. Greeen was also the choice of printed currency. Wonder who made that decision. No matter the color, ENERGY is in all of us and in everything ever created. It is up to us to bring the color alive and create the ENERGY we were created to have! AWE, I like that thought…
Today is a “Whatever Wednesday”. It is the first, appropriate for the first of May. “May” is a word in addition to being a month. It is a word that grants “permission” if you remember the childhood game “Mother, May I”? So what are we asking permission for. We are given a planet that does circle around the sun and the moon moves the sea, moves the tides, and moves our emotions. Each of us is a miracle. We were a miracle before we were born, and we will return to eternal life still being a miracle but even more miraculous having lived our “life”. In all honesty, we do not need to ask permission to live our life on a blue planet that circles the ball of fire and creates emotional tides with the moon. If we do not need permission, why are we not living the life each of us had planned in conjunction with your higher power, the Universe, and more. Have we forgoteen that we are divine souls so much so that we spend a great deal of our life trying to “find” ourselves. Today, “Whatever Wednesday’, begin to give yourself permission to live on that blue planet enjoying the sun and the moon and becoming in “AWE” of what is happening all around you every second of the day. I believe there are miracles all around if we would just stop, breathe, and take in the “AWE” of each moment as we become “Ageless Women Emerging”…
get out and touch the Earth…feel her on your soles and let your soul come alive…feel the soul of the land and breathe her in…then breathe her Spirit out to all you meet today! Begin to feel the wealth of nature and you will begin to feel the wealth of your soul…
Today has been a turn around day because I realized that national and local politics was taking over my mind: Trump, Facebook, and the resignation in Ohio of our Speaker of the House. Could not start the day that way! So I deleted all of those posts. I hit “delete” and am back on track as me. Everything that was turning me off had the baseline of money. Money can be good, money can be bad! It all depends on the energy that is shared in each case. I choose for money to be a good thing, and that is no surprise to anyone reading this.
And, in the same way, I choose for my energy to be good. It has not been for the last week or so, and I attribute that to low-grade burnout. I was doing too much in too little time. It is me: always a self-imposed deadline. So, I am slowing down just a little, and I am still doing too much. But it will all work out now that I am back on track.
The source of the photo–Wild Woman Sisterhood–makes a very good point. There are so many gray-haired ladies who will become a quiet, or not so quiet, army, and we are not interested in taking over our local towns, we will take over the Earth. And we will not worry about funding that because the money will be attracted to the positive energy. And it is positive energy, not based on money, but based on “good” and “the right thing to do” that drives us. It is values! Gotta run to keep the momentum going…
There are five elements in life: space, fire, air, water, and earth. No matter who you are and how you are influenced, you will be out of balance on your journey to where you are headed. Some will face imbalance more often than others, but the secret is to recognize when things are not quite right and how to get back into balance! Some may believe in Auyurveda or other methods of staying in balance. Some may just have the intuitive sense without a label. When you feel that something is not going quite right, you are the only one who can see the beginning signs. Pay attention to you, a foundation of self care, and move to make things right! You are heading for something BIG, not small, and YOU must be BIG to reach that goal and be mentally strong with money and all parts of your life!
While I heartily disagree with apologies, I really feel that I owe my readers an apology for this week. My mind has been too many places as I am “The Wicked Witch of Everything” during Halloween week as Halloween was my birthday. But it was more: the calendar moved to a new decade, I met with a new holistic doctor in Oberlin (emotionally draining as she is holistic and takes “everything” into consideration), one of my Women’s networking groups had a major meeting yesterday, and so much more. So I want to get back on track and take claim to my title of “The Wicked Witch of Everything” at the same time I am starting a new meditation series withe Deepak Chopra and Oprah dealing with “TIME”.
Personal Sustainability is our main title area, and the foundational platform is your Money Relationship because if the Money Relationship has bad energy, every part of your life will have bad energy. So I am getting back on track with topics on energy…
And, I am going to start with this favorite illustration of mine: blue, purple, and green balloons. The colors are pretty but not totally important except that they are colors in my logo, and for me they represent power or royalty , peaceful water and sky, and serenity! But balloons are only pieces of rubber (do they use rubber in balloons still?) or latex. They are very fragile, and they need energy from a source other than themselves to be able to realize their potential. It could be a single person blowing up a balloon or the use of helium or a simple air pump. Once inflated, they can be used for many things or set free to travel the world. Really, they can with with right conditions. They are strong but not only dependent upon outside sources but also free floating in many cases. However, one tiny hole or pin prick and the balloon deflates proving itself to be totally useless, good for nothing!
Our personal energy, especially with money, is much the same. We are flying high until something pricks us and we are free floating down to Earth. As we continue looking at money and a good relationship with it, think of the balloons. Even go out and buy yourself a pretty balloon. See how it makes you feel from the moment you choose it until the moment it ends up flying away or being tossed into the trash! Because energy and money have everything to do with feelings, too!
The butterflies are back even if only in the graphic of the roots of a tree. Butterflies are important to me in many respects as they are a symbol of transformation. They have a short lifespan, but they maximize their time on Earth. They begin as caterpillars, not really knowing the glory that will be theirs before their lifespan is finished. They go through what seems to me to be a “dark” period as they begin their metamorphosis. In the end, they find themselves with wings and the ability to take flight. Personal Sustainability reflects these changes as we all find ourselves somewhat grounded as children, much like the caterpillar, never knowing what we have the potential to become–to sprout wings and take flight. As an individual, we each find our wings as we mature, and it is up to us to do what we need to do to become personally sustainable and building upon that to build sustainable families and communities. We need strong roots like the tree, but we begin as a tiny sapling close to the ground depending upon the right food and the right natural ingredients–sunlight, soil, and water–to grow. Kept in the dark, nourished with chemicals instead of pure water, and given chemicals to make us grow faster rather than nurturing foods, as a plant or tree, we are not going to reach our pure potential…All of nature is interconnected, butterflies, trees, and more. Moreover, we are all connected to Nature, and it is up to us to make sure that the relationship is healthy… I think butterflies are great roots for that relationship in the ground or in the air!
Sometimes, I scare myself! And this is one of those times! My birthday is in this season, and today, there are two birthdays of folks I love and respect for who they are totally–personally and professionally. And, yes, I am going to name them. It is a day of truth! One is Joe Kraft, a financial professional and a true gentleman and friend with principles, values, and a Scorpio! The other is a family law attorney with principles, values, and a Scorpio but also a very classy lady and friend! That is just today…But today is when the hibernation I have been seeking is coming out of its hiding place, and it has all been brought to the surface by an article from Ecowatch; actually by every article they publish which comes to me in a daily email. But today, one of the articles is about prosecuting environmentalists as terrorists. This, for me, goes hand in hand with the medical industry poisoning our minds and our bodies for the bottom line profit of their own interests. But let me stay on this area, Personal Sustainability and the Environment, for now. My blog focuses on personal sustainability in its myriad forms, and this is one. If we do not protect the planet Earth, we are destroying our major home, our God given home!
This is a ‘middle moment” of change, evolution, and transformation, and “middle moments” are our ashrams, boot camps, graduate schools, and launch pads.” These words are from a favorite author of mine, Tama Kieves, in her book 365 DAYS….and I go on to quote her words for October 26th. “They are anything (middle moments”) but useless, empty, or ordinary. The middle of things is where change takes place, where the great big barge of how things have always been turns around in the ocean and goes a new way. Sometimes it feels slower than a long red light, but real change changes your whole life. Today I know that when I’m in the middle of things, I’m changing everything.”
And, I am changing everything. I have reached the pinnacle of Personal Sustainability. My model for Personal Sustainability:
I have moved through the sectors to where I am finding myself today in Environmental Sustainability. While I continue with my personal level and business level embodied in The Empower Excellence Experience including Empower Excellence Transitional Financial Coaching, The Practice at Oberlin (spirituality), Norwex (Chemical Free Living), Professional Women’s Connection (Women’s Empowerment), and Pampered Chef Healthy (Food and Health), it is time for me to let the knowledge and fury rise to the surface to be a part of those “terrorists” who want to protect the planet, the environment. This is the level at which Personal Sustainability has to sustain life for now and the future.
I have no choice any longer…I have resettled in the Oberlin community almost 8 months ago, I have The Empower Excellence Experience platform almost stabilized to move forward, I have removed myself from the small business community because my professional pursuits are not only a business but a passion to pursue Personal Sustainability…to sustain us all. As I write into the future, there may not be an outline I follow, but the theme will be the same, the theme will be what I have shared today in its myriad dimensions. I really welcome thoughts and comments, please.
It would have to be a big tree house, but listening to God talking through the wind, watching the Sun close up, and disconnecting from the world is the only way to be in connection with the “Earth”. And I want that.
The ultimate goal of moving to Oberlin is to build a home/business residence where life and the Earth and me come together. I picture it in a wide open field with trees and flowers available. Where the wind can blow through you hair, where the rain can shower you with life, and where folks can gather for any one of many different reasons is what I am building toward.
After a life in government, politics, finance and more, I do not want to be part of the maddening crowd. I want to have the availability of intelligent conversation, healthy food, and cultural activities within walking distance. Yes, the Utopia exists, and it is not Utopia. It is more reality than most places with tones of intellectual snobbery, racist divisions, division between town and gown, but it is a place where peace is also sought, and individual priorities are respected. Yes, I want to be in the wild; and, if that makes me a wild woman, it is not accurate. I want to be the woman with the wild peaceful soul, not afraid to do what needs to be done for me and for others.
