I have said it before, and I will say it again, I love the book GROCERY. It is so full of information for those of us who are trying to improve our health and that of others.
On page 94 of the book, I just have to share this, “Battle Creek is the birthplace of Kellogg’s and Post cereals. Corn Flakes were invented in 1894 by Dr. John Harvey Kellogg, who ran a health sanatorium there, and he touted this unique product as a cure for the diabolical practice of masturbation. One of the people who stayed at the sanatorium was a man named C.W. Post, who, evidently impressed with this “health” food, went on to found his own cereal empire.”
Think about that if you are a corn flakes eater today!
