It is a sad day for many reasons, some that make the headlines, some that do not. Orlando two times in two days with headlines of violence–maybe really of hate–with mass killings in a gay scenario and a single killing by a stalker. Ironically, Orlando, the home of the happiest place in the world–Disney World–was the scene of this. It does not matter where you live, where you love, or where you hate. Life happens…
Getting down on these headlines is a natural feeling. I know I will take the time to reflect on this; but then life goes on, living and dying.
In a more realistic happening, one of the great men in Ohio, great being decent, kind, intelligent, and caring, died today–Former Governor and Former Senator George Voinovich. He really was a peacemaker, and maybe a change maker. History will tell.
But the beat goes on, both in Florida and Ohio. And we go on, each and every one of us, rich or poor moving forward with our own lives, our own drama. But it is the moment to stop and focus on becoming part of the change that we want to see. More pointedly, in our own way, we must be the change… and finding our way to Joy is up to each and every one of us.
