One Thought in Your Golden Age: Choose to Outlive Your Retirement Income!

'I'm now in my Golden Age...Not to be confused with a lucrative Gold Collection!'

Will Your Money Last As Long As You Do?

AS CHILDREN IT WAS NOT OUR JOB TO MAKE SURE WE HAD ENOUGH MONEY —

WE LOOKED TO OUR FAMILY TO TAKE CARE OF THAT.

As we face the senior years, and that can be anytime after 50 in today’s world, we no longer can depend on parents and other family members to provide for us.  It is now all about making our money last as long as we do.  That sometimes feels like a really big job to undertake.  But there are ways to make sure that our money lasts as long as we do.  And sometimes it is so easy to forget our dreams not only from childhood but also for what some call our second childhood…

So, what can we do?

Well, being realistic is a good thing to start with.  It is time, like many other times in our lives, to sit down and face where we are, where we want to be, and how can we make the change to close the gap if there is a gap.

We can look at what our income will be in the coming years, and I hesitate to call it retirement since there are as many definitions as there are people approaching their senior years.  Looking at the reality, it is then time to look at living BIG within the realistic income.

Living BIG is a challenge but it can be fun, what are some things that may be free or low cost to start planning your senior years?  Just like the childhood dreams, which many times were very simple, senior dreams can be wonderful if you take the time to think about what would be FUN for you!
